With an old, sturdy trusty brush in his well-worn, skilled right hand
Upon new oil canvas he's ready to begin covering the barren and bleak
For slowly an image of a miracle begins to take place, a united stand
Finesse and steady strokes until a story unfolds, equally strong and meek

9/11/2011 calls to mind a day most remember, a sad time to retrospect
He stirs the soul and swirls the paint, with his tender artist's touch
Picturing a crisis-torn landscape with the deepest of utmost respect
Many colors review his pride for America, the home of the free and such

Days of infamy, both Pearl Harbor and Manhattan have felt
And with each special portrait, radiant by vibrant, brilliant hue
Amidst the shattered lives that would make any cold heart melt
Taking care he decorates fresh hope for Old Glory, the red, white and blue
