This sculpture is a representation of the aftermath that took place on September 11,2001. It is all hand crafted and welded that took four months to create. It shows the Towers with small hearts rising up into the hand of god helping them into the Gates of Heaven.The crosses in the front are a symbol of the crosses we all faced living the aftermath.I made the crosses hollow to show the emptiness that followed as we all grieved with our personal losses.I lost my cousin on that horrific day and decided to make this sculpture because nothing out there was a good representation of what I was feeling and could relate to...Most of the sculptures I viewed were just pieces of metal put together with no real feelings or thought behind them.so I felt compelled to make something.... I hope this sculpture can help put a healing image in everyones thoughts instead of all the negative images out there....
