I have never felt that an artist could improve on nature, but I have always tried to interpret, through my work, how nature presents itself to me. I consider myself an abstract naturalist artist.

I lived in Nyack, NY in the late 60's and throughout the 1970's. On one of my many excursions to New York City, I took these pictures of the World Trade Center towers.

Gesture consists of 2,996 small paintings in installation - one for each person who died as a result of the events on September 11, 2001.

Boyd Sharp was born in 1938 and like many artists he grew up in an artistic family. Indoor activities were common during the long cold winters of the northern United States, where Boyd spent his childhood years.

Back in 2000 I made a trip to NYC. I took a photograph of the Twin Towers on that trip.

i paint mmusic... mostly... i also compose mmusic as well as poetry.

Like so many others, 9/11 is seared into my head and heart. As an artist I find I am able to express my feelings best in my art. I join the artists in each generation who spoke through their art. 9/11 has scarred us all forever.

The artist had lived in Manhattan for 22 years, but on September 11th, 2001, Dawn Siebel was in her new home in the mountains of Colorado. Like millions of Americans, she sat frozen in front of her TV watching the terrible day unfold.

A Statement About My Work

I am concerned with communicating a sense of harmony, balance, order and spirituality.

"When The Towers Rise Again" was written to Honor the Heroes and Victims of the 9-11 terror attacks.

RISE ABOVE

My feeling about America is in this poem and photograph of the American flag, Now and Forever. I saw the flag at a construction site opposite my home on East 24th Street just two miles north of Ground Zero.
