Visitors on the Autism Spectrum

We invite you to come to visit the 9/11 Memorial Museum. Most of the museum is 70 to 80 feet below ground and spans 110,000 square feet. The museum receives many visitors and can become very crowded. Here are some tips for you to consider when planning your visit:

When to Visit
The museum is often less crowded in the morning and late afternoon, except for Tuesdays. The museum can become crowded on the weekends and during holidays.

Admission
We recommend that you purchase your tickets online, so that you can enter the museum more quickly. Your ticket will have an entry time, so you will know when you can enter the museum.

Temperature
The temperature of the museum is between 68 and 72 degrees Fahrenheit. You may want to bring a jacket or sweater to stay warm during your visit.

Quiet Space
If you need a quiet space, you can go to the Reflecting 9/11 Studio. You can ask a Museum staff to help lead you there.
