Foreign dignitaries from France and Israel recently paid their respects at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.

Jeopardy! to Feature 9/11 Memorial Museum

The game show Jeopardy! will include the 9/11 Memorial and Museum and the events before and after September 11, 2001 as a category on its Thursday, January 29 episode.

“No Day Shall Erase You From the Memory of Time.” This quote from Book IX of "The Aeneid" by the Roman poet Virgil suggests the transformative potential of remembrance and is indicative of the museum’s mission to honor and remember the victims of the attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993. Each letter was forged from pieces of recovered World Trade Center steel by New Mexico artist Tom Joyce.

Artist Spencer Finch’s art installation “Trying to Remember the Color of the Sky on That September Morning” is seen illuminated at the 9/11 Memorial. It features Virgil quote “No day shall erase you from the memory of time.”

Museum to Hold Program for Design Professionals

The American Institute of Architects, or AIA, has approved the 9/11 Memorial & Museum to be a provider of continuing education credit programs for design professionals.

The 9/11 Memorial Museum, which has seen more than 1.8 million visitors since opening in May of 2014, hopes to educate visitors from around the world about the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 and Feb. 26, 1993.

Museum Offers Variety of Workshops for School Groups

Truck Illustrates Courage, Tragedy of First Responders on 9/11

Members of FDNY Ladder Company 3, located in Manhattan’s East Village, bravely responded to the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.

The heavily damaged truck of FDNY Ladder Company 3 stands in the Museum’s Foundation Hall. The front of the truck is completely gone and much of what remains is twisted hunks of metal.
