Original oil on canvas created in 2001 following the September 11th attacks on the WTCs in monochromatic red, white and blue. The work contains multiple images including this one of a firefighter carrying an occupant from the WTCs. His corpse-like appearance, mouth-less gaunt features, closed eyes and bowed head are suggestive of a public servant who, without protest, has died in the line-of-duty attempting to save the lives of others.
