“ It is my genuine hope that the words and images on this artwork not only provide some reflection, but also serve to assure all those who lost loved ones, that by virtue of our thoughts, they were never alone. ~ Richard Lawrence Belford ~

On September 25, 2013, Richard was given the Basno 9/11 Memorial Supporter Badge as a token of gratitude for supporting the non-profit National September 11 Memorial & Museum and invites you to check out his artist’s statement, portfolio and résumé.

About the Author: Richard Lawrence Belford is an inspirational writer, father of two daughters and the eldest of three sons who grew up in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada whose favourite poem is Footprints. He loves how it’s meaningful last line makes him feel, no matter how many times he, reads it.

His twenty-year creative journey has allowed him to become well published and fuelled his genuine desire to provide faith, comfort and hope to those in grief.

On his motivation to write Richard says: “We all have experiences in life, mine have been neither more extraordinary nor less engaging than anyone else's, but have involved universally heartfelt sentiments, I feel should be shared.”

His inspirational parables have been illustrated with photography on a series of wall décor products beautifully designed by Reed Photo Art & Imaging Inc. A parable is a symbolic short story that illustrates or teaches some truth, religious principle or moral lesson. #inspiring #belief #faith #hope.

One of his parables; “A Mother’s Work Is Never Done” was sent to The Duke of Cambridge Prince William, prior to his 2011 Canadian Royal Tour that visited Richard’s home town of Ottawa, Ontario that not only marked the country’s 144th July 1st birthday, but also very day his late Mother Diana would have celebrated her 50th birthday.

A letter returned from St James Palace said that Prince William was deeply touched by Richard’s words of support & encouragement and included His Royal Highness’s warmest thanks & heartfelt best wishes.

Richard will never forget how incredibly gratifying it was to think he had been allowed to touched the heart of a son, whose mother had touched so many of ours.

He is also the author of “It’s Not Goodbye, It’s See You Later” an inspirational book about life, love and loss whose parables honor the memory of those dear to our hearts.

The book is available worldwide on Amazon, Barnes&Noble.com in the United States and Chapters.Indigo.ca in Canada. It can also be purchased from The Centering Corporation and Grief Digest Magazine’s Grief Resource Library.

Richard invites you to follow him on Instagram and Twitter, like his Author’s Facebook Page or visit Facebook’s “It’s Not Goodbye, It’s See You Later Support Group” and join the increasing number of its members who believe this book will inspire you to always say; “I’ll see you later, instead of goodbye!”
