This bronze sculpture was the first piece that I created in the months following September 11, 2001. Over the years, it has stood in my studio as a constant reminder of the sick feeling I felt watching the images streaming in on my television over the tense days and weeks following the disaster.
Fifteen years later, I felt the urge to work on this piece again. By adding imagery so burnt into my mind from that horrific day, I could feel a slight sense of release.
