The evening of 9/11 we all felt pretty much helpless. While driving through Sea Bright N.J. I saw too teen-aged boys waving an American Flag at passing traffic. The passing autos honked in response. It was very touching. I painted this picture as a way to capture the moment. It was a way of becoming involved. We all had a need to feel something besides numb.
