I participated in the rescue/recovery efforts at the World Trade Center after September 11, 2001. Music and creative writing has served as therapeutic in reconciling what I have experienced while serving and protecting over the last several decades.

I am originally from New England and Brooklyn NY. My life as a First Responder began as an Emergency Medical Technician in 1988. Since then, I have served as an FDNY Haz-Tac Paramedic and a Tactical Medic with the FDNY Dignitary Protection Unit, as a Hazmat Technician and Firefighter/Paramedic with the Fairfax County Fire & Rescue's Hazardous Materials Response Team, as a Urban Search & Rescue Hazmat Specialist with FEMA's Virginia Task Force One and USAID's USA-1, as well as Chief of the Park Slope Volunteer Ambulance Corps in Brooklyn NY. I graduated from Hampshire College with a degree in Music and worked professionally in music production.
